This is one of the outstanding amethysts that came out of Rwanda for less than a year back in 2015-2016. Brilliant with strong red and blue pleocroic colors. One precisely cut and superbly finished 12.93 carats round brilliant cut amethyst from Rwanda, purple color, 10X LOUPE CLEAN clarity, cut grade excellent, measuring 14.6 mm wide, 14.6 mm long, 11.7 mm deep; with excellent polish and excellent symmetry. The proportions of the amethyst are as follows: total depth 80.1%, table width 50%, and a girdle thickness of medium to slightly thick. The amethyst also has a crown angle of 43° and a pavilion angle of 43°. Cut by Steve Moriarty in a modified portuguese style round brilliant. We do not believe that this stone has been heated typically done to lighten the color. The overall quality rating of this stone is 983 out of 1000.
