    Ladies' 18k yellow gold amethyst ring, with one BLUE VIOLET color, GIA Type I Clarity VS, antique cushion natural color amethyst from Uraguay cut by Steve Moriarty in a step style antique cushion. The amethyst weighs 7.87 carats, measures 1.5 mm wide by 12.5 mm long by 9 mm deep, and is set in a prong set. In addition, there are two bezel set marquise brilliant cut diamonds, F color, VS2 clarity, with a total approximate weight of .12 carat. The ring also has two prong set ideal round brilliant diamonds, F color, VS2 clarity, with a total weight of .20 carat. The accent stones weigh a total of approximately .32 carat The ring weighs 18.00 grams. Our register #4am1058.

    This ring design won "Best of Show" in the 2010 Matrix Computer Aided Design Competition that was set with a tanzanite. 18 karat yellow gold ring highlights one the finest amethyst's we have ever cut. Extremely deep violet color show extra oridinary di-croic color in different lights. in incandescent and daylight strong blues highlight the gem while in incandescent light vivid reds highlights are seen. Amethyst is accented by fine marquise and round diamond. Best of show was awarded to Christopher by the 180 competitors in the design contest for its intricate and creative aspects.
