One .40 carat round brilliant cut hyalite opal from Zakatecas Mexico, lt green color, SI2 clarity, cut grade good, measuring 5.6 mm wide, 5.7 mm long, 3.2 mm deep; with very good polish, good symmetry, and strong daylight fluorescence. The proportions of the hyalite opal are as follows: total depth 56%. Of coarse it strongest glow is under U.V lighting it has remarkable color in daylight and will show some green in most types of artificial lighting. Slightly radioactive most consider this gem safe to wear as jewelry.
