Hydrophane Opal 98.45 Carats (Cutting Rough or Specimen)

NOTIFY ME WHEN THIS SOMETHING SIMILIAR IS AVAILABLE:

This top quality rough Ethiopian opal mineral specimen has an amazing play of color. This gorgeous piece has a huge surface area of the opal that makes it a piece that will display very well. Not only that, but this piece is very fine cutting material that will have a great yield and is almost solid opal all the way through. This is one reason why this piece is much more valuable than some other specimens. We recommend that this opal material NOT be submerged in water (unless it is being cut, water will keep it cool), and it should never have any oils applied to it. Also, due to the hydrophane nature of this opal, the weight can vary slightly with humidity. We consider this to be a Thumbnail (TN) sized specimen.
